Embark on an unforgettable full-day tour to El Teide, where you’ll uncover fascinating facts about Spain’s highest peak.

You’ll also have the option to ascend to an elevation of 3,550 meters with the Teide Cable Car! This excursion will take you high above the island to explore the majestic El Teide.

Our journey begins by traversing the Corona Forestal Natural Park, leaving behind the lush Canarian pine forests as we ascend to the Teide National Park, located at approximately 2,000 meters above sea level. This UNESCO World Heritage Site, recognized in 2007 as a Natural Wonder, offers breathtaking landscapes and a unique environment.

Throughout the tour, we’ll make several stops to admire the stunning natural beauty of Las Cañadas del Teide, featuring otherworldly lava flows that seem straight out of a sci-fi movie. Be amazed by this volcano, which, rising to 3,718 meters, is the third highest in the world when measured from its oceanic base.

We’ll visit some of the most iconic spots within the National Park, including the Llanos de Ucanca and Los Roques de García. As we explore, you’ll learn intriguing details about the volcano and discover the diverse native flora and fauna that thrive exclusively in this region.

The tour includes a stop at the base of the Teide Cable Car. If you’ve pre-booked your ticket (subject to availability), you can ride up to La Rambleta Station at 3,550 meters, bringing you just a short distance from Spain’s highest point.

During the day, you’ll also have free time to enjoy lunch on your own or savor the local Canary Islands cuisine at one of the recommended restaurants in the El Portillo area.

For departures from Puerto de La Cruz (which include stops in Puerto de La Cruz, Santa Úrsula, and Santa Cruz): Pick-up available only on Tuesday and Saturday.

IMPORTANT Information about the Cable Car

– If you wish to use the Cable Car during the Teide National Park excursion, you must purchase your ticket when booking the tour. For logistical reasons, it will not be possible to purchase a Cable Car ticket once the excursion has begun.

– The Teide Cable Car does not accept changes or cancellations after 4:00 PM on the day before the excursion.

– Please note that the cable car may stop operating due to adverse weather conditions, and we will be informed of this throughout the morning.

– The age range for a child ticket on the Cable Car is 3-13 years.

Restrictions

The ascent via Cable Car is not permitted for individuals with cardiovascular issues, pregnant women, or children under 3 years old due to health risks associated with high altitude. 

According to current regulations, individuals with physical or motor disabilities are also not allowed to use the Cable Car due to the risks involved in evacuation.

It is important to note that in the event of an unexpected technical malfunction, anyone at the upper station would need to descend on foot via steep mountain trails.

Essential Information

The tour begins once all participants are on the bus.
Transfers may involve a bus change.
The route from Puerto de la Cruz differs: After visiting the National Park, the tour proceeds in reverse order: Masca, Garachico, and finally Icod de los Vinos.
This excursion does not allow enough time to take the cable car, so if you’re interested in visiting the summit, consider booking the Teide National Park excursion.
Due to the terrain, the bus for this tour will never exceed 35 seats.
Pickup will be at the closest meeting point to your hotel.
This excursion may be subject to changes in itinerary and schedule due to adverse weather conditions or circumstances beyond our control.

Free cancellation up to 24 hours before the excursion. If you cancel within less than 24 hours, no refund will be issued.

Cable car ticket: reservations can be canceled or modified free of charge until 4:00 p.m. on the day before the reservation date. After that, no refund will be made.
